Tom Van Steenkiste

Tom Van Steenkiste is a master student of Ghent University in Belgium, where he studies computer science engineering. Before coming to CERN, he has worked as a software engineering intern, implementing  recommender systems. His research interests are, among others, high performance computing, machine learning and simulations. During the OpenLab summer student programme, he’s working on testing the performance of various key value databases and implementing them in the FairRoot framework to store conditions data for the ALICE experiment.
