Tobias Kappé is an MSc Computer Science student, currently studying at Leiden University in The Netherlands. His research interests include Theoretical Computer Science and Computer Systems. As a member of the system administration team of his student union, he is passionate about Linux system administration, learning a new trick every day. At CERN, Tobias is mainly concerned with exploring the performance of the EOS disk storage technology if parts of it were to use non-volatile RAM. This involves writing benchmarks and data structures amenable to a transactional implementation.
