Sébastien Valat graduated the Particle Physics and Astro-particle master degree from Grenoble University and Savoie University. It was improved by a second master degree in computer science. These dual trainings lead him to a PhD. on memory management in High Performance Computing Field for the supercomputers at the French CEA in Paris. This work was pursed as post-doc at the Exascale Computing Research Lab in Versailles with the development of a memory profiling tool. He is now a fellow at CERN working on the LHCb Online team to prepare the DAQ upgrade for 2020. He is currently working on 100 Gb/s fabrics from HPC to study the next readout farm which will need to handle 4 TB/s going out of the LHCb detect.
