Juan José Fumero is a student from La Laguna University. He has just finished his Master Degree in Computer Science this year and he is going to start his PhD in Compilers for GPGPUs in Edimburgh University. Before comming to CERN, he was working in the Computer Research Support Unit at ULL and the HPC Service at Instituto de Energías Renovables in Tenerife, as a System administor. The project he worked at CERN involved the vectorization AVX and AVX2 through Intel CilkPlus and GCC. This work is focused on the optimization area, running comparatives measurements of available vectorization technologies currently under investigation by the CERN Concurrency Forum.
