Gary Andrew Mcgilvary

Gary is a third year PhD student at the School of Informatics, The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He received his first class bachelors degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2010. Gary is interested in Cloud Computing, large scale distributed systems and High Performance Computing; his PhD research focuses on the topic of Ad hoc Cloud Computing. During his stay at CERN, he is working on the configuration, deployment and testing of OpenStack Cinder as well as its integration with NetApp to help facilitate the expansion of the computing infrastructure for the LHC.
