Emmanouil Katsomallos

Manos holds a BSc degree in Computer and Telecommunication Engineering and currently, he is a MSc student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Greece. His broad research interests focus in the area of programming languages, operating systems, network and mobile/pervasive computing. More specifically, he presently works on “EasyHarvest”, a system that supports the dynamic deployment and controlled execution of sensing applications on smartphones. As a CERN openlab summer student, he is testing and further developing an infrastructure based on CernVM that enables launching jobs on volunteer, cluster and commercial cloud nodes.
